• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Runway Headings

Is there any way to adjust the stock headings? They show as 23/5 but they should actually be 24/6. I've tried putting a new runway in my project but it just causes a double up and i get to chose from both runways in the dropdown box?
 
You can't change the physical heading so I assume you are talking about the numbers. There should be a way with the in sim tools to edit the number.

There is an attribute/property for runway number and designator. These will be the primary end. I don't know if the in sim tools will automatically determine the reciprocal (secondary number)

I'm actually in the middle of a project replacing stock buildings etc. but I just can't find where you do this?
 
I don't use the in sim tools but I would expect if you select the runway and then its properties there should be a property for the runway number and designator. These may be just the primary (since the secondary is fixed as the mirror of the primary
 
Hi Jon, nope I think I've clicked every available button in the Developer Toolbar but none seem to identify the runway. just wondering if its something to do with the fact its a grass runway. Its only a small airfield not far from me (EGBI) I did try placing a new runway but I ended up having both in the selection???
 
Perhaps someone else can help. It is easy in ADE 2020 but, of course, that is an external cad tool and an alpha development
 
Then you might take a look at the Alpha. But be aware that at the moment you can start a project in ADE and finish it with the in sim tools but you can't go the other way yet( that is edit the same project back and forth between the tools)
