    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

MCX Saving a single material change in the original BGL

Hi,

I need to change the material type of an object from Standard to Glass to hopefully avoid texture flickering. Once done, is it possible to simply save that change in the model BGL without having to export the whole scenery file?

Thanks

It sounds like you are working with MSFS. Then easiest would be to export just that object glTF to your package sources again and afterwards compile the package to get the new BGL.

ModelConverterX does not export MSFS bgl files directly. For the FSX/P3D bgl format you always have to export the whole scenery, there is no way to do a partial save.

Thank you Arno, understood.
