• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

It went past the end of a file ;) A bit like a train running off the rails because there are no buffers.

You might want to check the SBuilder Forum at www.ptsim.com as I am sure this has been seen before.

Hi Jon,
I was found some post talk about 'run-time error 62', I tried these methods but still 'run-time error 62':(

What can I do??

Thanks,
Pllewer

Have you asked on the SBuilder Forum?

Runtime 62 errors can be caused by Windows registry errors. To fix that, you would need to repair your registry. There are freeware tools that will do this.

Also, what Windows version are you using, and have you set the language properties to allow a "." as a decimal separator rather than a ","?

In previous incarnations, SBuilder for 2004 required a specific upgrade installation order. That can be avoided by deleting all traces of SBuilder 2004, and downloading the complete version from the FSDeveloper Downloads Library... and then install just that version. No more upgrades are available from that version.

The error is usually generated by Windows when a program is searching for a missing file.

I use WIN7x64 and I didn't set "." rather than "," in language properties.
I'm sorry my English is not good so I can't completely understand your meaning.
Do you means I have to install the old version of SB and upgrade it? Or I only need download the complete version from FSDeveloper Downloads Library and use it?

Thank you

You only need download the complete version from FSDeveloper Downloads Library and use it.

For win7, you may need to have administrator rights. There may be other file security problems as well.

SBuilderX is, I believe, a 32-bit program, so that may be a problem.

Hopefully, someone with win7, and a non-US setup will help here... I have WindowsXP 32-bit and US regional language settings.

Dick

32bit programs in Win7 64bit are fine. I run SBuilder and SBuilderX without problems.

It needs you to change your decimal separator to '.' if your country settings use ',' as I recall

I have change the decimal separator to '.' and run the program, it says SB need to copy some bitmaps, then, run-time error 62 again......I used administrator mode run the program

It seems it cannot find the bitmaps from your FS2004 installation, and that may be causing the crash.

Dick

As I recall it will use the registry entry and if that is not correct then maybe it will fail like this. There are a couple of small utilities that will repair the registry entry for FS9. You can get one of them from here:

At least we can confirm that your registry entry is correct or not.

Hi,
Have you found the solution to the said issue? I met the same issue as I try to install the SBuilder on my WinXP Notebook.
And the general response which I have found says because of Registry issue, but no specified solution.
Does this something to do with Chinese character?

It may have to do with your separator. The period (.) is the separator most FS related software would need to perform correctly. Some languages use the comma (,) as the separator, even when the . is called for.

Do you have FSX installed? If so your FS9 reg paths may have been removed. THe link in scruffyduck's post above will provide a reg fix tool for FS9.
