Hi,

I just wanted to try this high amount of scenery quality so went upto LOD17 (Zoom18 in sbuilderX) 30cm/pixel imagery.

Added areas to the map and exported.

Quite a large amount of area.

Exported 5 files with about 43mb of data.

But now I am stuck at loading screen when I select "fly now" from the same airport. What can I do?

any idea?

my specs are as follows;

i5 3570k (SC)
p8b75 asus mobo
16 gigs of ram
evga gtx 660ti

After you downloaded all the tiles you selected them in SBX and compiled to .BGL then copied to the Addon Scenery\scenery folder correct?

You don't define "stuck", so it's hard to gauge if you have a problem or not.

With the project I'm working on now, when I start FSX for the first time in a day I get stuck on loading scenery... and then a couple of minutes later the progress bar proceeds on it's way to 100%.

If you are worried about the files, try loading them into TMFviwer and see if they display correctly at the various LOD settings.

You do not say how large the file(s) are, but you cannot exceed 2gb within FSX, even though the Resample compiler will generate files of that size or larger.

The files seem to display correctly in TMFviewer. And there aren't any conflicting files as well.

I am sure the scenery will load after some time but it does take more than 20-25 minutes at least?

Takes lesser time when I use LOD 16 as max value instead of LOD 17.

Also the scenery seems to be blurred and takes up a lot of time to get back in shape when flying closely.

Well, your "stuck" is better than my "stuck", as mine takes maybe 60 seconds or a little more to get through all the files. There's over 2,200 in the project right now, but I'll be doing a recompile to make larger, thus fewer files.

If you have more than one file for the photo based work, I would start pulling one out at a time and see if the loading time increases or not. Sounds as if one file (or more) is causing problems and that file needs to be identified and investigated.
