• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

SbuilderX Google Plugin

Hello, I've recently looked into having a crack at making some photoreal scenery for FSX. However, on the VESatellite map, the airport I want to create has an unusual pink shade across the exact zoom level that i need to be able to fit the whole airport in. This is obviously an issue with VES itself and not sbuilder. So I've downloaded the most recent Google tile plugins from the regularly updated thread so I can use that instead, but was wondering how I would install it? Which files go where? Any help would be appreciated, thanks,
RB

Hi Ryan.

All you need to do is drop the GoogleServer_api3.dll (or GoogleServer.dll, if you have the non API version) into your SBuilderX\Tiles folder. Make sure you use the correct DLL for your version of SBuilderX, as both a 32-bit and 64-bit version are provided.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I tried that and still couldn't see anything so tried closing SbuilderX and opening it again. I'm getting a message asking to locate SBuilderX313.msi, but it's nowhere to be seen - I've done a search of the SBX folder. I had a little trouble installing it for the first time the other day but it worked fine (as I made some scenery and haven't closed the program since), but now it's asking for the .msi file that doesn't appear to be there. Where is the .msi file stored?

EDIT

Don't worry I got the .msi file from the zip folder and ran it to repair SBX now everything has opened fine, I'll try that google server again
