FSX Scenery objects missing

Hello, I'm recently having some problems with missing scenery objects. I use many AFCADs that have the jetway extensions from JFK (like some made by Ray Smith, but also some I've modified myself), and in all cases FSX won't show them. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the airports, and even removing and reinstalling FSX itself, and I still have this problem. Any help, please?

hi juanvito,
welcome to the forum,
if you have installed many of my airports and the jfk jetways do not show, then perhaps you have not installed the textures for them correctly,
in the "readme" supplied you have to copy the textures for them from one folder into the correct folder for them to show!
can you give us an example of one of the airports you have tried that do not show these jfk jetway extensions!
also the procedure you are using to add these textures!

Another example, using this version of YSSY http://library.avsim.net/zipdiver.php?DLID=151274

If I use it as provided it works perfectly. But if I edit it in ADE (just playing around with parking assignments), compile the edited file and use it, the jetway extensions stop showing up. Also, the BGL file becomes a lot smaller after I edit it, so there's something going on there...

If the the LEMD file does not work in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder then FSX could possibly be reading another file that is sitting above this folder in the FSX Settings priority list,
do you have any other addons at all? like AI addons, trafficX or my traffic for example,
you also say you have modified some yourself,
can you give us an example of what you are doing with the jfk jetway extensions, and how you are adding them
this doesn't sound like an ADE problem, to me its more a conflict with something else added in your FSX installation, or possibly the files you are modifying,
i don't have a problem with the LEMD file and 300 other ADE files in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder that have the jetway extensions in them
if you are opening my BGL files then you will not see the jfk jetways when you compile the ADE file, as you now do not have the models for the the jetway extensions in the ADE file, they are stored in the original ad2 file

Another example, using this version of YSSY http://library.avsim.net/zipdiver.php?DLID=151274

Ah!! ok, so its not an ADE problem then,
you are opening the BGL files, and as i said in the last post,
you do not have the Models for the jfk jetways in your ADE file you have opened,
without these models they will not compile in your file, so obviously you are not going to see them
the file will be a lot smaller as the jetway extensions are not in the compiled file!!!
Many times here we have explained that you lose vital data when opening a BGL with ADE, never a good idea as you have found out
always work from a stock airport with the ad2 file! not a BGL file

Thanks for the help, still I am kind of lost. How do I add the models to my BGL file? I thought they came from the default KJFK, so they would be shown in flight as long as I have all the default sceneries activated (as I do).

I tested LEMD with no other addons activated (except FScene4x, I don't suppose that has anything to do with this issue, does it?), and without touching the BGL. Still doesn't work.

Hi,

I am still confused. Do the jetways show up in the LEMD scenery as downloaded, or not? Is it only when you run the ADE file through ADE that you have this problem?

Did you copy the two textures listed in the instructions into the Scenery/Global/scenery folder?

Are you sure you are only using one of the ADE files? (you mention the RS file, so you are NOT using the CW file, correct?)

Did you move the OBJ file into the same folder as the ADE file?

Never mind guys, by pure accident I managed to find a solution to my problems. Thanks for the help anyway!
