• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Scenery problem

I was working with a friend on a scenery we mutually have. Neither of us had AI'S, but we did have traffic files. I used AIFP and subbed planes that I have for the planes that were missing. Bingo! I had planes all over the place. I sent these traffic file to my friend and told him to install them and let them overwrite when asked. He did. result? No planes on his end, yet I do have them. I made sure I sent him the planes I am using, and he put them in simobjects/airplanes. So he had the right AI's and the right traffic files. Still no planes on his end. So I had him delete this airfield from P3D4 completely and sent him mine (which has the traffic files)
He did so, but he got a warning note (crash) upper left corner and p3d reloaded the scenery to a default scenery! I sent my scenery again without the traffic files. He reinstalled it.... same thing- crash.

His p3d does not like my scenery area? Mine works just great!!!!!!! I asked him to create addon scenery like I do and put his sceneries in there. I wonder if he has sceneries elsewhere too? I watched him through Skype share screen and guided him through delete, install etc process. My scenery , as I said, fantastic. Works great, his does not. Any ideas? Bob

Hello Bob...

If I remember correctly - didn't you have the same problem earlier and you found it was connected on how something was installed? I can't remember what it was now., but I assisted with it. I'm not liable to search for it at this time, but I thought I would remind you of it.
 
Doug-yes, but his machine messed up, fixed, gave up for a while and did train sim. Now reinstalled p3d4. We have same scenery. AI works on mine not his. same AI same traffic files. AI no show. I had him send me his afcad. I replaced mine with his.... wroked great. AI all over the place. I suspect his sliders are way low. The traffic files seem to send AI from this scenery to many default locations. like- EKKA, EGUW,EGDY, "XJ, "XE, XB, BL. This also shows up in my trffic tools. Will report back asap.
 
Doug. success. He had his sliders for traffic all the way down to 0. bwahahahaha. I thought of that but forgot to mention it to him!
