• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA SDK.msi will not load

I am aware that my files do not match. The reason is after installing the SDK from Disc 1 of FSX, then installing SP1a from the Acceleration disc, then attempting to install sdk.msi fro the Acceleration disc, as per instructions, the install window opens, a window opens to check disc space and remains open for an hour with no activity other than an every so often spinning disc and hard drive action. If I can't install sdk.msi, of course my versions will not match. I show 8.4 GB free on Drive C and 3.75 GB free on Drive H (where FSX is installed). Both FSX and Accelerator are activated. I am attaching the requested files.

I copied the SDK install folder from the disc to my desktop when it failed to run from the Acceleration disc.

Not sure if it will fix things in your case, but it's worth a try.

Thanks for the reply David. I am glad I am not the only one that had this problem (I was going bonkers).
Following all these good FSXA SDK instructions on my desktop some time ago was simple and created no problems at all.
I simply wanted two ADE corrected airports with Instant Scenery addons, one flyable Ryanair and ten European AIs in FSX on my lappy to show my brother in Germany. I normally only run FS9 on this lappy.
With all the installs and uninstalls trying to fix this "last" install step, I crashed my lappy. After I get it up and running again, I will try your suggestion. Thanks again! John
