• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 SH Malta Complete - RELEASED

Hello, Rainer,
it pleases me if I can contribute to bring even more life into your wonderful scenery.

Yes, here the next!

This went faster than expected here the finished Apron 8.
For the windows, almost exclusively real glass is used, which can also be seen in the near night pictures.

The vegetation is also created.

The scenery now immediately goes back into beta testing and I continue working on the connection between Apron 8 and Apron 9.

Okay, so it's official. I fly into Malta Luqa on 21st May next year and it's all your fault, Overflow!!!!!!!!!
Before you can fly in Prepar3D .... I hope:p

I was a little submerged once. First of all the website is now 3 times faster and has a pagespeed index between 84 and 98. For this I bought some software.
Above all, almost 4000 images have been converted into modern formats.
Furthermore the forum download is now completely converted to Filebase.

Nevertheless I was not completely inactive in Malta. On the contrary, I changed the concept once again on the Apron 9. The entire rear area at the terminal is no longer a ground but a model. This makes it easier to realize all markings and superstructures, even if it took a while now.

Here is a picture of the basic configuration

Now I continue the work on the intermediate part between Apron 8 and 9 with the texturing.

Now I can present you the part between Apron 8 and Apron 9 and show you some pictures.

The vehicles in the airport area are from SH Living Airport.

The beta test follows and I am now working on the main apron 9.

Why can't we go on here?
Quite simply, from tomorrow I will be working on Malta again.

But I have a new website with blog and forum at

or

opened

The page can be switched to any language in the world with a widget (with a flag at the top). The language should be correct automatically by the browser recognition. But I don't guarantee how good or bad the translations are. Basic language is German. Also registration forms and comment masks are translated into the respective national language. Apart from email and user names, no other data is required.

I do not intend to open another jubilant page, but I critically question what I see. Marketing is one side, reality the other. Let us be surprised.

Everyone may have a different opinion with me, but he must bear also mine peacefully.

The site is open, but not yet complete in terms of design. The corresponding forum is under construction. But you can already register your name and watch the development.

With me one may always watch and that is also now so.
Everything there is or will give there remains as always free of charge.

Hi Rainer, as I said in an other contribution, one should prohibit this forum since it can be frustrating, to see the projects of others! ;) Carry on with your great work and thanks for your great contributions!!!!!!!

The problem is that at least in Germany you can hardly post about FS2020 anymore, if you don't cheer. So I put my page on where there are no "muzzles".

But now I have to continue with Malta, otherwise it will never be finished.;)

Today we have a little preview of the Skyparks Building behind the Apron 9

skyparksnbj4a.jpg

The use of real glass is a complex process.

What's the time frame?

By the end of next week I would like to have the remaining buildings including the terminal ready. Then it's about equipping all Aprons with static elements and the design of the parking area behind Apron 9.

Manuals that are urgently needed have to be written. Video is still on the plan.

So that adds up. Maybe I'll put in an "Open Beta" for Christmas or New Year's Eve, which will then be replaced by the release.

HELP!!!! I'm running out of popcorn!!!
There are people who don't understand your humor... no not me:cool:

Otherwise, there are moments when nothing works. In such a situation you just have to switch off and do something else. I did that and put on a gamer laptop and set it up. Also very well suitable for testing, because it has an I7 of the 9 Generation and a full GTX 1660TI.

Now I've moved on. Now I am in an area where you can see directly and where every little mistake is immediately punished with a modest appearance. Correspondingly accurate and time-consuming work has to be done.

Today I finished the first building south of the terminal, which I don't want to keep from you.

The problem whenever you are not working with photos is to make the textures rich in contrast under all lighting conditions. And this often requires a lot of fine-tuning, because the simulator and the development environment are visually two pairs of shoes. All that comes now is a test for the terminal design.
