• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Presumably, you compiled the lights for PV4, and you received a message along the lines of "files copied to your "Documents/Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder". Presumably, also, your system is configured to use add-ons from this folder.

If simconnect.dll not found, then you won't get the task bar icon.

Please open your ...\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Add-ons folder and confirm that the sub-folder AFLT for P3D exists in it and that that sub folder contains "LockheedMartin.Prepar3D.SimConnect.dll".

Hi:

Tested latest AFLT version in other computer with Windows 10 English language and has the same problem, simconnect.dll not found. All required files are copied to the P3D v4 Addons folder. In the sim only the base models shows in the right place with no lights

If you look in the PV4 World\Scenery Library, do you see an item "AFLT Lights"? Is it enabled? It needs to be if you want lights.

"PV4 World\Scenery Library" is a PV4 operational function, not a folder name.

PV4 has a menu item labelled "World". Click on that and you'll see "Scenery Library" Click on that and you'll see the status of all your scenery.

Is enabled at the top of the of all the sceneries, and the path is pointing at the right place

So, for whatever reason, the add-on is not being executed. That would seem to be a local issue since we know the addon configuration works for others (and is a standard method). Perhaps there's something in your P3D .cfg file that is preventingfthe addon from being executed even though it's enabled. Presumably you do not have another CYYJ scenery in your Addon Scenery folder.

In my addon folder you can find:
AIground
AIflow
ATCAPI
SLOPE Runways ( from Federico Succari)
Traffic toolbox (P3D)
Visual fx tool. (P3D)

And I dont have any payware Airport, just some freeware airports downloaded from Flightsim and Avsim, Orbx global, vector, trees, buildings and terraflora

Then I'm afraid I have no idea why the addon is not being executed. As I said above, an addon in Documents/Prepar3d v4 Add-ons is a standard configuration and no one else to my recollection has reported such an issue with it.

All I can suggest is you take a careful look at Prepar3d.cfg in your AppData Roaming folder and the other .cfg files in ProgramData for something that might be inhibiting execution.

Other users who can help, please feel free to "jump in".

My first step will be to disable all the addons and installed sceneries, if it didnt works will do a clean P3D install, if you have any idea on what would i do to find this problem will be much appreciated.

If I think of anything, I'll let you know.

Are you sure a clean install of PV4 will accomplish anything. Existing .cfg files may be left intact (I don't know for sure;, it's just a possibility.)

Just checked ...\Appdata\Roaming\Lockheed Maretin\Prepar3D V4\add-ons.cfg which contains:

[Package.1]
PATH=D:\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\AFLT for P3D
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false

Don't know how it got there but, presumably, is essential.

Hi Don:

1.- Will try to delete everything for P3D if that isnt working will do a fresh and clean windows 10 install.

2.- Got the same in a different place C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\add-ons.cfg

[Package.5]
PATH=C:\Users\Tony\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\AFLT for P3D
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false

And also found this in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\scenery_add-ons.xml

<SimBase.Document Type="AceXML" version="4,5">
<Descr>AceXML Document</Descr>
<AddOn.SceneryComponent>
<Path>C:\Users\Tony\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\AFLT for P3D\Scenery\scenery</Path>
<SceneryCRC>1331863177</SceneryCRC>
</AddOn.SceneryComponent>
</SimBase.Document>

Thanks for still trying to find this mystery.

Tony
