• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I hve tried everything to connect to FSX, but nothing works. I can't us remote because my FSX computer is not hooked up with the internet. Please help.

The remote option usually works for people that are having problems connecting. It wouldn't matter if your computer is connected to the internet or not as it should still have an IP address. That IP address would most likely be 127.0.0.1. I would suggest trying that IP address in the remote connection option and then see what happens. Make sure that the port you are using is the correct one, and that FSX is listening on that port for SimConnect connections.

Thank you for the help. It helped.:) But I do have another problem. It says I have connected, but I really haven't. What is wrong?

Was a log file generated? If so can you post the recent entries. Perhaps something is in the log file which may help. (The log file would be located in the installation directory.)

Here is my last log.

Let me join to the list of people not being able to connect to FSX (Vista 32bit.)

Running FsX Planner as Administrator, tried to auto connect with no luck, trying to connect useing the remote option and with no luck. Tried to find the SimConnect.xml on my computer with no luck, to make sure the port stays the same.

In the past I did'nt have problems connecting, if it was because I at that time used XP I don't know.

Apart from the connection problem, I have no problems what so ever and I just love the program, and it just gets better and better for every new version.

PS. I'll go and have a look in my log too, when I come home from work.

That looks like an error that would have occured while attempting to connect to our server for an update. So unfortunately it doesn't really help for connecting to FSX.

Can you post all the settings you are using for connecting to FSX?

The simconnect i am using is the one that came with FSX Planner.

I use Remote connection.
Address 127.0.0.1
Port 48447

Is the port (48447) the one that FSX is using? Also is the IP address of your computer 127.0.0.1 (as opposed to 192.168.1.100 or similar)?

I did what you and the link said.

This is all i got

Active connections

Proto Local Address Foreign Address State PID

Then nothing else.

Are you using Vista or XP? Also can you post a screen shot of the command window after trying the netstat command?

Thanks.
