• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

So now what do I do?

Well, I have mostly completed a very large scenery distribution with static helicopters and AI ones. It includes 10 heliports and associated oil rig scenery offshore. All the files are ready to zip but... I don't have a second PC to test out to enure nothing is missing.

Anyone fly helos that would like to test for me? This is freeware so I am giving it away, so fear not you'll be helping anyone make money. You'll have to manually xfer files to the proper directories from the zip do it would help to understand the fsx layout.

You'll also need to be able to read the readme.txt file as the scenery is complicated in that I have the 3 big helo companies in Louisiana (Bristow, Era, and Phi) each with their own bases, three repaint AI aircraft models for each, and segregated parking.

There is even AI traffic offshore to watch, landing on oil platforms in one area and on Super Tankers in two others. All a gloriuos experiment.

Any takers?

Sounds like a great package. Did you design all the assets/objects/helicopters or get permission to use them?

Really?

What did you design that you're concerned about? I will ensure it is not used. ;-)

Good idea to test in a second pc, I uploaded my scenery, working fine in my Pc but soon someone point me out that something was faulty, just two files which were in the scenery but in other scenery folders and were left behind, bad thing to have to upload an update two days later.

Guess you answered my question then. I was asking originally as there are not many helis designed specifically for AI use (or static use), so I thought you may have developed some new assets.

Yes really! unless you designed it yourself, used default or got permission, you should not be redistributing others hard work.

Let me be polite and thank you for your advice. Yes I am aware, but I was yanking on your chain a little. Bless your heart!

I will say on a different subject that I am amazed at the quality of much of the work on scenery I see. Makes my stuff look like stick drawings! LOL!

The ADE is like crack to me. I am addicted.
