• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Some development pictures

Many seem too skeptical of Flight and have rather immature and negative thoughts in mind when discussing it.
Yes.. "Kosta" comes into mind! The Microsoft Flight forum was cluttered with negative comments!

For screenshots, I use the Screenshot View, which is disabled by default. See my tutorial here (wow, I posted it over two years ago!) for details on how to enable it:
http://forum.avsim.net/tutorials/article/27-screenshot-view-camera-definition/

That explains it! I wasn't on AVSIM two years ago! :(
I looked at that particular .cfg file and adjusted the zoom and that's how I knew about the screenshot function. Glad to know how to work it this time!
Thanks Brandon!

I like the purple roads :)
Hi George.

The purple roads are from the Flight core textures. We can only assume some of the roads in Switzerland are purple. (Steve knows about this bug in the default Flight assets).

The landclass, vectors, autogen and DEM are from FSX. The game seems to be losing a bit of FPS as I have everything maxed out in the few video preferences. I have an AMD quad-core A6-3650 with it's on-chip graphics.

Same general area in FSX:

Nice Screenshots! I ought to go check out SF myself! The models really converted nicely and looks even better with Flight's shaders.

@rhumbaflappy: Are you using an unreleased version of the toolkit? I'm not seeing any Bridges in SF with v.1.1.1. I thought Extrusion Bridges weren't supported yet.

Thanks!

OK. I've checked and the bridge has been converted..but why isn't it appearing in-game? The ContentErrors.log shows no failure in loading the models.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I'm using content from FSX:SE. That should be the same as FSX Acceleration, I think. Some bridges seem to be invisible depending on distance, or viewpoint heading... not sure why. Graphics settings may need to be maxed.

I can recall installing some freeware scenery previously. Though they have been uninstalled, some aspects may have remained, so I will try a clean install and try again. :coffee:
Graphics settings - maxed out, but to no avail! Thanks for the suggestion though Dick! Much appreciated!:D
