1. What is fsx acceleration? Is this the extra one buys to add to FSX in order to make and or join races on line, etc, or is this an addon that speeds up FSX loading time?
2. This is my main question- FSX of course loads slower than FS9, but it wasn't too bad. I then copied my ez scenery folder with the sub folders of scenery and texture over to fsx.
The load time increased so much that it was like watching grass grow! In fsx I renamed the ez scenery texture folder to something I figured FSX would not 'see'. Loading time did not change at all. So I figured the load increase time was not due to any textures I had copied. Therefore I'm now questioning some of the bgls in ez scenery/scenery as the culpret. If this is correct, what might I look at that might be the loading problem? could there be one or two or many bgls that can cause a slow load in FSX?
3. Made a rudimentary plane in FSDS from pre-made fsds parts (fsds ver 3) and added to my Instant scenery library. It shows up in FS9 but not in FSX. Is this due to the difference that FSX uses and sees aircraft? i.e. if I made a plane from parts I make myself the plane might show up? Or use FSDS 3.5.1? BTW- This plane's purpose is only as a staic object, not flyable.
Thanx in advance for ideas on these q's. Bob
