• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Some times you just "doodle" around a bit

Some times I thought I would work on some parts for an aircraft I'm working on but then I just take a total different direction and start modelling something random... something I know I can never bring to completion, I would say it's something like 3D doodling, just making something because you had nothing else to do really. Those moments got me to some fun stuff, such as this:

I know I'll never finish it but some times I just feel like doing something else :p Wondering if other people have similar creations that where just made because they didn't feel like doing something on their actual project....

Nice! You seem to get the hang of it! Keep going like this ;)

Haha well like I said it's just something I made when I didn't feel like working on my actual project, I think I only spend about an hour on this thing :p Would you even dare guessing what it is? ;)

Sometimes it's just good to do another thing, to defocus for a moment from the ongoing project(s). I got a bit crazy of my T.5 last summer, that's the reason why I didn't do a lot with it this summer. I'm also making some models sometimes, not very often though. I'm too precise to do a quick-and-dirty job, I guess.

Well I got that when I noticed I got an arwfull lot of cookie-adverticements concerning A350s (E.G. Finnairs first A350 ad). And this Typhoon will most likely never get released, at most I might take a spin in it in-sim ;) But I just make it to have a nice look at how it would be, I mean the lines on it aren't straight enough to be a good product :P

That's what Bill "Lionheart" calls a warm-up, sort of like stretching the brain muscle before jumping into the main project.

Nice Eurofighter :D

no worries, be too some time I do something else, changing from an Airport terminal to another airport, I keep these model in case I want to do this airport in the future, or if someone want to do the airport I give him the work...

so, you are not alone :P

Thanks to you all! Well I don't intend to actually do anything with it, it's just something I made to look at or something ;) It's something I amuse myself with for an hour or so, save and probably never take it anyfurther....

Although I must say it is good fun seeing how one would go about modelling a totally deifferent aircraft (difference between a jetfighter and a commercial aircraft is huge to me) ;) never mind the other attempt I made with an SU-26...

If you keep the polycount down, you could turn this into an AI aircraft.

There already is an AI EF2000, but not a FSX native one.

I'll keep in in mind Bjoern ;) But for now she's just going back in to the storage, perhaps to come out again some other day.... After all she still is one of my favorite fighter jets :D

If you start finishing your 'Doodlings' but do not want to get them ready for FS, you can always sell them, both here and at TurboSquid and make some side money.

Well that's not something I'd like to do... I will regret selling it. However I don't think it would be a good idea to for someone with as little aircraft-development experience as I do to make two aircraft simultaneously... So perhaps keeping for some other time, possibly with help from people who know more about jetfighters (?)
