Pretty cool indeed!
Should look even better with this: http://secure.simmarket.com/flyways-the-earth-fsxp3dp3dv2-(de_8686).phtml

It is. Day&night.

I used the Blue Marble ultra high resolution images from NASA to create the images: https://visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_cat.php?categoryID=1484&p=2
I think I only included LOD8 or so, would have to check. From space that's more than enough, but you won't be able to use it below 100km, most of all because right below the user vehicle there's a gap where LOD9 and above are drawn. Doesn't matter if you're very high up since that rectangle is rather small then. It's a limitation I had to live with when creating the image set.
You'll find more screenshots on the product page.

Have you already been contacted by NASA? since your version of the Orion spacecraft look absolutely great Misho.Obviously, I've done a lot of on-line research and I'm mostly surmising what NASA is working on,
You can also look at the sub-contractor who provide the guidance systems for NASA to get more actual information about its capacitiesso this won't be the true analogue until NASA finalizes their version and makes it available publicly.

Well, Astronauts are mostly just passengers during the launch, so yes, the whole thing relies on a pre-programmed series of events (what I call an "auto sequencer", I think they used that term during the Apollo days). So yeah, there will be a list (literally, an ASCII text "cfg" file) that is read and executed, event by event. This triggers so many Kerbal Space Program flashbacks. Hope there's a MechJeb (autopilot) menu.![]()
