• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

In the last few days we are seeing a lot more activity of spammers than usual on the forum. Many of them we can keep away with the moderation of new users, but a couple of spam threads have been posted this weekend as well. We try to remove them as soon as possible, but if you see any use the report link at the bottom of the post to report it to the admin team.

One thing that we also noticed is that some of the spam has been posted by members who have accounts for many years already and also made FS related posts in the past. I don't think these people posted it spam themselves, I think their email/password combination might have been breached on other website and that information is then used to post spam here as well. There are various websites where you can check if you email address (and password) has been breached in a data leak somewhere, for example:

If you see the email address you use on FSDeveloper listed there and you by accident use the same password here on FSDeveloper as you do/did on that breached website, we would strongly encourage you to change your password here. That will help to make it as hard as possible for spammers. Thanks!

Thanks to members reporting the recent spam threads! It really helps us keep on top of the problem. Most importantly, do not click on the links in the spam posts. You'll most probably get bombed with malware.

You may try to add some word filter, if it contains "Girls", send topic to moderations or block it

We have updated the spam phrases and the conditions when these are checked in the forum options, so hopefully that will stop most spam.

And thanks to all the users reporting the spam threads, please keep doing so if something still slips through so that we can remove it as soon as possible.
