• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX:SE Specific Models from OBJ file not showing. - RESOLVED

Hello everyone, I have an issue whereby 4 specific models from an object file are failing to show in my scenery. My scenery is of OMAA, Abu Dhabi Airport, and the items failing to show are:
  • 92e9fb0a-48cf-4e6f-b27a-24a064fe6909 OMAA Midfield Terminal Concourse. These are placed on the ends of the new terminal arms.
  • e67f4642-b32e-4b59-ad3f-d44eed647c73 OMAA Midfield Terminal roof. These are at the rounded ends of the new terminal.
  • d3745861-bf2c-43be-be5c-58946b31b199 OMAA Tower office. This is placed at the base of the control tower.
  • 074aceb7-3487-401e-b25d-dcfcb1d82910 OMAA Terminal 3 block. These are placed at the gates for terminal 1.
I have tried all the scenery settings I can figure to try but to no avail.
I've attached my *.AD4, Object files and a picture of the location of the offending objects (models) or at least where they should be.
I'd be really appreciative of any help.

Well it seems that 2 things were against me:
  1. The Airfield elevation and flatten was not set across the whole airfield only the older airfield prior to the upgrade and new centre terminal.
  2. One of the items was set to a minus altitude and this seems to have prevented it from being seen, though I am not convinced this was not an issue related to the airfield elevation and flatten.
Yay, another self fixed problem resolved :stirthepo.
