• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

When I bought MSFS I got the Microsoft Flight Simulator Digital Ownership app add-on. I still have it somewhere in my C drive.
When I start the sim I get to the desert view then a message comes up "Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game Disc" which I do not have.

I understand that there are different ways to buy the sim and I did it through the store. However I'm getting X-Box pages in the start up.
I have been able to run the sim previously and this change happened after I built an airplane.
I have the airplanes community etc on a different disc F while it seems that the sim and the Ownership app are on disc C. I would have installed it on C but I was short of space, P3D takes up a lot of it.

Any help would be much appreciated
Roy

Have you logged into Xbox Console Companion (I think) You need to get validated. So you have to be online- at least for the validation.

edit: some people had issues with VPNs

Try starting the program from the Microsoft Store using the Play button.

When its all loaded, just a heads up, some updates are manually updated, like the USA and Japan updates and some aircraft updates and even preliminary startups require 'installation' from the Store. Planes that come with the sim may have to be installed. Just to let you know. I found out the hard way, figuring I already had the USA update added.
Once in a while, go through your installations in MSFS and see if there are updates. Its quite similar to ORBX.
