• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Strange Flight Sim Issue.

Hi All,

I hope this is the rght location for the post, but i have been experiancing some very strange things with flight sim over the past months. Please see image below, as you can see i am getting mainly with ground polys, clouds, alpha, gradients on aircraft bellies everywhere really a series of purple and green rings around them:

I am sure it isn't a graphocs problem as outside of FS is ok with no issues.....

I cannot afford to do a reinstall, so any suggestions woulf be more then appreciated!

Since it worked, did you change your graphics settings or your graphics driver? That would be my first guess.
 
Yes, that is what I would try. Save you current settings just in case of course :).
 
ok, not sure how to reset defaults, but will ahvea look about....

Im sure that i tweaked the graphics after this occured....

Ummmmmm, doesn't seem to have worked....

It must the the sim itself then.

I cannot thing why is started to do it int he first place, it must be something ive tweaked.
 
have you reduced you colour quality settings in windows? (Right click on desktop > Settings tab > Colour Quality)

...I cant actually see the problem in your screen shots though?
 
i will give that a go thanks, if you look in the top shot, you can see a series of purple and green rings around the smudge on the ground as with the second, if it was a screen colour issue, wouldn't it effect the screen also?

Just a thought, but thanks fir the help chaps, are mosre than appreciated, will report back....
