• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Please use this thread to make suggestions on how we can make ADE a better product :)

PLEASE check the list below before adding a suggestion in case it has already been made. This is a long list that represents previous suggestions. The list is presented as is and while we look at all suggestions very carefully we can make no promises about whether a particular suggestion will find its way into ADE or when :D

  • Access to Resample and ground textures from ADE
  • Accurate sizing of taxi signs including back to back
  • Add measurement and degrees while drawing taxiways and paths
  • Add runway using end points and /or corners
  • Always on top for guidelines
  • Autoscroll of display when dragging off screen or mouse on screen edge
  • Button to show all taxiways color coded by name.
  • Change heading and altitude of the connected user aircraft from ADE

Here are a few suggestions for you.

Rotate handles for runways which would make it easier to align the runway with background maps

Stretch handles so you can fix one end of the runway in place and stretch the other.

Many thanks David. BTW runways already have a rotate handle. Rotates the runway around the center of the runway.
 
The ability to right-click on an object already placed and select "Replace with new object."

For example, suppose I already have a hanger placed and simply wish to replace it with another hanger object with the same dimensions...

...or, I've simply recompiled a previous model and need to use it in place of the previous version of the same model...

Currently, my only option is to delete the placed model, remove it from the Model List (when that feature is fixed!), add the new compiled model, then (re)place it in the scenery, but only approximately where it was previously...

When in FS9, with ADE connected, I would like to be able to press a hotkey and for ADE9 to draw a "mark" at my position each time I do this. Would be very useful for working my way around checking taxiway positions etc...

Jon,... I think you need to have FS9 suggestions and a FSX Suggestions now... maybe that will help? Just a Suggestion from one of the Choir :D!

I'm happy this opportunity to thanks you for ADE, which is a nugget!

I have a suggestion, regarding approach mode. But I'm not sure it is not already listed in top?
When creating or modifying a approach or transition, it sometimes is useful to test a intermediate leg. So, the possibility to move a leg up or down in the tree would be appreciated.
(not quite the same thing than changing the type of a existing leg, as already envisaged)

And another little suggestion : on both airport and approach screens, to add a hand giving the possibility to slew the displayed area (would be easier than arrows)

Again, my compliments!

Click and HOLD the mouse wheel to move around the scene (same as "hand"). RTRNM... :)

To move a leg select it and use the 'U' or "D' key - the display will also change to reflect the moved leg.

User defined size of position markers, or fixed size markers as per Afcad2?
