• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Taxiway direction flow

Hi people,

One question, i´ve some airports on Brazil, like SBPS, SBIL, that have one parking, 2 taxiways and one runway. How i can tell to FSX that one taxiways is to enter on parking and other is to exit to the parking? because airplane made pushback and go to runway and meet other plane against the flow in same taxiway, because the another landing and vacate the runway in first taxiway. This is possible? Configure one for foward and other to reward?

But typically in your situation you will need two airport files, when ATC is using each end of the runway. You'll need to swap those manually before you start, after finding out which end ATC is using.

Im think about this point, 2 airport files, but since taxiway A and B very close, when use RWY29, the layout for RWY11 is cool too! But, im read about plumbing and not understand how i can use in this scenario.

My drama, im read that AI avoid "T" angles and im insert the 90° degree turn into A taxiway and mande a "Y" into B taxiway. The C taxiway is active, but anyone use.

The RED path, is the way that C208 (mark on circle) run to get GA parks. In real aviation (green arrows) traffic uses B to enter on tarmac (for GA parks or "gates" where we see a ATR42 and ERJ135), and A only for acess the runway.

But when ATR marked on pink arrow made the pushback, meet the C208 in front and both stop and disapper, because this im want configure the airport.

Im unknow how plumbing help me on this parking design.

RMK - Now, im unknow whats happen, the tower made airplane a hold short on mid of runway when another coming for landing

* Another airport, SBPS is same design of taxiways, but the C is more far away and planes taxi directly to C from runway, but, when departure, the planes taxi C to B, enter gates parks and goes to A for enter runway.

First, if this airport does not use pushback tugs the ATR should not push back, it should just turn and go. To eliminate pushbacks add another node between the parking spot and the existing node, then move that added node directly on top of the parking spot. No pushback.

Second, you cannot do much with a layout like that, the plumbing method relies on taxiways going to each end of the runway. You can add taxiways along the runway itself to simulate this, but it is usually quite ugly in practice.

Hi Tom!

Sad! :p. Airport uses pushback, about taxiway along runway, is bad, because ATC will put a plane landing, meanwhile another taxi. But the major trouble now, after hours and hours on ADE, is: If a FAIB A320 parked on any 3 main gates, other planes was advised by ATC: Hold because other traffic and disappear after 15 min. But, im spaced the apron path from gates and if im taxy with a UI plane, cross with distance of any plane parked.
