• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Hello,

Runway is a polygon with a custom photogramterical texture. I want to draw taxiway markings on top of the runway, but they are invisible over it. Any solution? Ive already tried with priority of the runway texture and a lot of other stuff but it does not work.

Hello:

There may be info in MSFS' SDK Docs specific to ground markings, but see if this tutorial by Federico Pinotti (aka "mamu") helps with your goal:

Otherwise, one may use either MSFS default "Projected Mesh" or 3D model based Ground Polygons (aka "G-Polys).

Thanks for your answer. I know i can do it with "projected mesh" but that is gonna take a lot of work. Also markings that I want to make are not very uniqe so MSFS stock marking would work. I just want to overlay them on top of the runway so they would look sharper. Anyway thanks for help :)

Number 1, Use a projected mesh and set the proper "layer" level, on this case probably "apron"

Number 2, see Number 1
