Textures misplaced....

Hello Arno!

I just used the latest development release of MCX. I load an older mdl.file, which i have produced with an older version of MCX. I saw that all textures are misplaced.

I load a default Microsoft bgl.file and there are the textures misplaced too.

It seems there is a bug in the latest version.

Hi,

Can you check if you didn't enable the flip dds option in the texture settings?

Hallo Arno,

i put the zip-package in my MCX-folder and dezipped it by overwriting existing old files. I have not make any exchanges in the options-folder. Following the settings in the texture-folder

Hi Holger,

The FlipDDS should be false by default, then it will load FS textures correctly. You only need this setting if you load for example X-Plane objects with DDS textures, since those are flipped.

Let me check if the default value has not been set wrong by mistake.

Hi Arno!

Thank you for your fast help. I put the latest_development_releases_package.zip in an empty folder now and dezip it.
But i get the result: FlipDDS = true. I changed it manualy and all textures are shown correct.

Thanks
Holger

Hi Holger,

That is weird, I double checked it in my code and the default should be false. Let me try with a fresh download.

Edit: by the way, if you put the new download in a folder with the same name as your old version, it will still use your previous settings.

Hi Arno!

The problem is solved. I took a fresh Download and dezipped it in a new folder with a different name. The default setting is now FlipDDS = false.

Many Thanks
Holger
