• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 The Goose flies again for MSFS

What magic did you work on the P3D/FSX flight model, @OzWookiee ? The wind makes the Goose does an incredible job bounce and float around very fluidly -- far better than any of the other planes I fly. Apart from the A2A P-40, P3D tends to feel like I'm flying in a vaccum.

I'm looking at converting the sounds for my Rapide to Wwise so was hoping to pick your brains of needs be! Lol.

This project looks wonderful, sadly I don't have the latest platform so I can try out this beauty. Since the original mesh was made by Microsoft, will there be an issue if I released a P3DV4 native version with PBR materials?

If you're doing the FSX default then go for it. If your doing the OzX Redux HD then you'll need to talk to @Warchild as the last member of that team still active.

It seems that you have published version 0.9.0 on https://www.msfsaddon.com/2020/12/msfs2020-grumman-goose-g21a-redux-ii.html but I can not download it from there. Furthermore that site tries to install something very curious on my computer when I try. Opening several screens and wanting to bypass UAC. What's this?
FYI official sources are my post on MSFS or Sim-Outhouse. I never have, nor ever will upload anything to that site and I encourage you to never visit it again, add they are charlitans and stealing traffic for their own revenue.

Hello:

When I attempt to download from the link in your thread above:

https://drive.google.com/uc?id=14UXZhZd3QmGRoUXB2inhcLJKCcoiSbLm&export=download

...I see this message:

"Sorry, you can't view or download this file at this time.
Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared with many people, it may take up to 24 hours to be able to view or download the file. If you still can't access a file after 24 hours, contact your domain administrator
."

Can this excellent W.I.P. be downloaded from anywhere else at this time, other than at SOH ?

Hmmm... "Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently." :scratchch

That's a good problem ! :)

Again, many thanks for making this available to the FS Community.

Hi Gary,

It seems to be working now, for me at least.

I often get this type of message when downloading the excellent Zibo mod 737 for XP11, as it is such a popular release. Each time a new version or update is released, users may have to wait some days to be able to download from Google Drive as it has a daily limit on the number of downloads for some reason. There is fortunately a way to bypass this limit and to be able to download from any link with a limit, if you have Drive or Gmail (if you have Gmail you have Drive as they are all under one Google account).

First, click on the link, and you will see an option to add the file or the shortcut to Google Drive on the next page. Open your Google Drive page, find the link (shortcut or file) you just added, right click on it, and in the drop down menu choose "Make a copy". Once you have made a copy, locate the copy of the link on Drive, then download that. Somehow the limit is bypassed when using this method and you will be able to download the file.

Cheers,

What ever happened to the OzX Bell 206 Redux? The only links I can find are to the aussiex.org site which seems to be gone.

Unfortunately the aussiex site was lost in a hacker attack. I am not part of that original team, but @Warchild worked on that original update and is the last of that team who is still active in our community. Outside of that I have no knowledge of their other projects.
