• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

In this Corrupt world, its no news that MSFS 2024 is half done but MS/ASOBO wanted Monet Money Money NOW!!!!!! so we all followed the Piper and rolled out or hard to get money and delivered it to the wolf. Its a shame that Asobo/MS foolled everyone with their pretty Publicity videos, great photos and all the blalbalbalabla, we have been all sucking like from a great milk bottle {or beer}. Its half finished with so many bugs its really a piece of junk!!...as always we love so much our hobby we get dupped by these unscrupulous Oligarks as if we had been born yesterday. Well its done, the milk or beer or something else is all over the floor and we are poorer..........watch the stream of "updates comming as dirty water in a polluted river in the next weeks and months, those guys have no shame,.
They really poured pig's manure in the Community folder din't they!!! what a mess, who was the Idiot that decided to make this a complete Horror for all?? maybe rhey stopped working on it on the French Hallowing night? ---Money Money we want money they chanted in front of their PCs to the rithm of glorious Vichy songs of the 1940s .....Oh well.
Community BUGGGOOOOO.....If you take a look at the place where they say to look at your community folder and its blank....ITS a BUGGOOO!!!!!!, go ahead and place your stuff in the folder its suppose to be and go in the game and fly to one of your original airports and you will probably find them. OK, not all will shown since the incompatibility is lurking all over to say the least but some will show. They are there!!!!...Good luck with this piece of you know what, we all feel the pain, maybe they will send in an update a Centurion with a sharp Lance.......OH, just to make My day, since I loaded this thing, MSFS 2020 crashes upon loading,,,,

I think Asobo would have liked another year to develop the sim, but Microsoft set the deadline. Hopefully, the updates will solve the problems, just as they did in MSFS 2020. At any rate, it's not the fault of the French. ;)
 
As a French developer, I am not very proud of the work done by Asobo on both MSFS20 and MSFS 2024. They do not have all the wrong but some are still their responsibility
- configuration management: it seems they work at constant flow without a fixed and well tested version
- integration of versions (I am worked for THALES during 38 years) before release: the main tests that must be done on the expected functionalities are not or very badly performed which leads to bugged versions
- they almost completely remade even what seemed to work well after 4 years of development (even keyboard shortcuts)

As Rhumbaflappy, I think they can not challenge the plannings that are imposed by Microsoft who wants to increase their market share in the world of the XBox. This version is still very console oriented and starts to forget the PC :mad:

Hi Lagaffe.....First of all let me say I have two loves--Paris and My wonderful wife who has accompanied me for 60 years always agreeing with my hobbies which are scracth aircraf model building and Flight simmulation. For 43 years I ran my software development company doing all kinds of software with 18 very skilled programmers. We always balanced time for completion of the given set of progrmas and always allowed, sometimes many months, of testing the product. We gathered through time a large crowd of Beta Testers before we dared put the product in the market. It always worked, when we collected our fees we were totally confident the product would do what it was suppose to do. Sure we sometimes had a client with a problem but they were very few and I had a team of "Fixers" dedicated to clamp down on the problem, situation or bug.
What we see with Asobo and specially MS is the deterioration of Ethics in the whole world, companies, specially large ones like MS don't give a dam about the client once they have collected the money. They are so temerary rhat knowing their product is deficient they will do everything under the sun to cover it. Ethics have been thrown under the bus.
I agree with you that this Sim is after More market and is becomming more of a game for kids than a serios Simmulator. The Career part is just a Firt person game like many others, just a game to entertain young gamers, I find the racing around like some of the games my grandson plays. Anyways, this product is horrible and truly badly designed overall, the latest Community situation is ridiculous, they had it working great in 2020, so they go from bad to worse. Look all the hipe they ran for months creating expectations which were all not true. Yes it looks really good but So many otrher games do too and they don't are all messed up. Yes, its challenging programming and its hard work but thats the nature of this. I should have stayed with 2020 instead of jumping in this nightmare, humans Never learn!!!!

You can stay with 2020, and that's a valid decision. My framerates are double in 2020, and my graphics card is high-end there, not so in 2024.

It's still early for developers and end-users in 2024. In a year or 2 it will be good. Other than the game aspects, I'm still searching for improvements over 2020. There are some, but at a GPU/CPU/bandwidth cost. I don't use the gaming elements myself, so the improvements for me would be mostly eye-candy (and some of that could have been applied the 2020). $
 
I have been battling with 2020 since I loaded 2024, It starts to load after days in the battle and then it crashes. I have tried all the suggestions, ideas, commands, I have read and it keeps doing it.....have deleted it four times, blanked the Community folder, etc, etc, etc,,,Can you suggest the solution??? or anyone for that matter.\
So, if they knew this thing would not work as offered until a yera or 2 why get oiur money now!!!!!!!! defending corruption is no deal for me.....
 
As someone who started with FS4 as a freshman in Engineering School, I can categorically say FS2024 is nothing short of Fecal Matter. As someone stated earlier.....they are after the GTA market, not the traditional simmer.

I have zero sympathy for Asobo. Couldn't have happened to a more humble group of developers. Lol
 
I just spent 20 minutes for this Junk to take my plane to an airport and still waiting !!!!!!===They Sure Scewed US!!!!!!!!! Oh and the so called compatibility with 2020 pure BS
