FSX Using P3D V3/4 SDKs in FSX using newer 3ds Max versions

Hi everyone.

I read somewhere that the last SDK that works in FSX is the P3D V1.4 SDK. The most recent version of 3ds Max that V1.4 SDK supports is Max 2012, which is what I use for FSX to model objects for scenery.

That is getting old now and what I was wondering, do later SDK's like P3D V3/V4 that support newer versions of 3ds Max still work with FSX?

Say if I export a .X file using the V3/V4 SDK with a newer version of 3Ds Max, and then use the FSX XtoMDL.exe to create an .MDL file, will that work? Are there any differences between the older FSX .X files and the newer V3/V4 .X files??
