Hi all,
I would like to share something I discovered a few days ago. I was recently in the process of unwrapping one of my models using the very handy 'project from view' option. This is a really great tool for unwrapping buildings.
Now as long as the facades are exactly facing/perpendical to the x/y axis it will be very easy to do. But what about a facade that is at angle? How can you align your view to face exactly that facade? Very simple, in edit mode select the face of the angled facade and press shift+numpad 7. The view will change,to face that facade perpendicularly.
Now sometimes after doing this, the view is changed in such a way that the building is upside down or on its side. Up till now I haven't discovered why it does that but by simply pressing shift+numpad 6 or 4 you can rotate the view to bring the view in the right direction whilst still facing the angled facade perpendicularly. Pls note it's not the building that will be upside down but just the view.
Try it out and hope this could be useful.
Regards
Daniel
