• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Vehicle Animation

Hi

I've created an animation of a vehicle travelling along a road, it started parked, sets off, drives for 2 minutes at 10mph then parks in a different area. To have the return journey would mean having the vehicle driving backwards  It is possibile to have a setting that could reset the animation back to its start point after a set amount of time?

Or

Is it possibile to have a second animation that is triggered once the first animation is finished, again after a set amount of time. So say it drives to its end point, stays there for 4 mintues, then triggers another animation with the vehicle pointing the correct way for its return journey, the loop just repeats over and over.

;)

Now, I really don't know anything about scenery design, but perhaps just animate so when the car reach its destination it turns and drive back.

Or it disappears and a new car spawn and drives back using a set of timers.

I followed the eresim tutorial, "Animated vehicles" and i think you have to tick off the "loop" box option, in path options. the vehicle will be in the first position once arrive to the end of the path,

Recently read your question. I can animate a vehicle to follow a line or path.cuando the vehicle reaches the end of that line automatically starts again at the starting point of the animation. But you can vary the amount of frames, for example, if the path of the vehicle takes 200 frames can put on the timeline the end in 300 frames, that means when the vehicle reaches the end of its route will be time 100 frames arrested in that position and then start again. I hope you serve my explanation, but tell me and I'll make a video
