• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

Hi every one, :confused:

I'm Trying to install SDK. I don't know that much about it but when I start FSX It gives this message:

What version do I need? I have FSX Deluxe with Acceleration and got both SP's off of Acceleration.
Please Help!

I also tried running "ConfigSDK" since I did not Install it in the default path. This message comes up when run ConfigSDK:

Are you sure you want to update the SDK tool Configuration files to refer to the current Microsoft Flight Simulator X installation path? (yes/no):

But I don't know how to tell it yes. When I hit the enter key it repeats the line.

Any suggestions how I could fix this?
Help would be appreciated.

Hitting "y" that stand for "yes" :D, search for the Dll file and check the path if they are correct. this file is in C:\users/ name_user/appdata/Roaming/Microsoft/Fsx there are the sensible files of fsx like the fsx.cfg file and the dll. file.
You should to check in " the folder options- show hidden folders (don't know how is in the english version) I'm making a very rude transalation :(. sorry for the broken english :duck:

Please read the threads about the issue in the same place, people have many problems trying the sdk work, right now it's difficult to say, usually we have to tweak the Dll file a little , the true/false thing , etc.
 
I still can't get the SDK to work. The same error comes up. Does somone know how to fix that? :(

you are setting all to False that is good,

I don't see any problem though the txt file look very weird.
sorry but I couldn't say, but don't despair, people have many problems with the Sdk but always get the sdk installed.:cool:
you don't see the tools menu inside fsx game?, The only thing about the warning message is that the Sdk is not that of the Fsx version, , if you have Fsx gold you can't install skd acceleration for exemple.something so.

I had Deluxe and I installed Acceleration and got sp1 and sp2 for the SDK. The tools menu does not come up in the game menu. Also it says File not found for C:\mypath\addon.exe (In the first post). Do you know where i can find that file mannually?

I did do it that way I think. I got the sdk off Disc one and then installed SP1 and SP2 from the acceleration Cd. Is there something else to install?
 
I think this must be like this, the first skd is the sdk deluxe version along with all the sp, and then install the acceleration sdk, this will work soon or later :p

10.0.60905 is the SDK RTM (the original SDK on the FSX Deluxe DVD. This means that you have not successfully installed SDK 1a, 2, and Acceleration.

This however is most puzzling, since it doesn't correspond with any known version of SimConnect of which I'm aware:

SimConnect version 10.0.61259.0
 
Well now I got the "tool" up on the menu bar!
I still have a question...
Can I run SDK without running FSX?

Oh, and its still saying "file not found" for Mypath.

All right. you are on the good path, the tools appearing is a very good sign, people have only that problem, the menu tools.
The Sdk should and must work without fsx running.:cool:
Don't understand what is "mypath", what have you there, and when warning you with "file not found". :confused:
I guess you refer to this 0.03879 File not found: Path="C:\MyPath\Addon.exe", I can say I never have seen that before. what is addon.exe, sorry could be my ingnorance.:D

Ok, thanks for all your help.
My problem was that I was missing sp2 for the SDK. :o
I had to download it from Microsoft.
I'm still trying to figure it out. :)
