• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I want to do an airport but I don't know which airport is more needed ? Which one should I do ?

I'm looking forward to your answer :)

Thats right but I think that it is also important to know which airport is more needed ;)

Well you could argue that either one of them is in desperate need of a new scenery. WADD is a nice destination, but mostly served for mid- or long range flights. There is an excellent freeware for the airport, though it has seen it's days and could be done better by todays standards. Same goes for EDDT.

EDDT on the other hand has short, middle and long range flights operating out of it. There is no really good freeware for this airport and the payware version of the airport has become a bit outdated. It's also a port of old FS9 scenery with poor modeling/texturing and worst of all the performance at this airport with the NGX for example is bad. There is a big community of online flyers on IVAO and VATSIM who would like to see a new rendition of this airport for sure. Im sure most of them would even pay for it.

EDIT: Another point I forgot to add. You need reference material to recreate an airport. Photos are your best friend. I guess that for you it would be easier to get images from EDDT than from WADD.

Thank you for the answer :) I'll try to make a nice and new version of Tegel which is made for FSX and P3D not for FS9 :D

Edit: Thats right but I will visit WADD for 3 weeks this summer and our hotel is located in the near of this airport :)

Keep us posted in the showroom about the development. I'm interessted in seeing how this one goes. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask.

Only one question before I'll start developing. I have the option between Dusseldorf and Tegel both are equal. So which one is more needed ? :)

Hey guys I have a question :
Do you want to have the city of Berlin as a part of my product?

By the way: I am really sure that I can release Tegel this year. A post with photos and a feature list will come online in the showroom soon :)

Nope. It's represented fairly well enough in Acceleration.
And if there's a landmark missing, there is always the Sketchup Warehouse and ModelConverter.

Ha! The BER people are also "really sure" they're going to open their airport before the next deadline. ;)
