• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

The bandwidth usage of the site still keeps on growing. So either we have more visitors or you have all started to download more tools :). For the first time this means that the monthly limit of 5 GB is not enough, we will probably run out of that within the next 24 hours.

I have ordered some extra bandwidth from the hosting provider, so lets hope there will not be any problems when we run out. But if something still goes wrong, you have been warned.

And still it went wrong, but we are back online now.

Maybe you need a better plan?

I host my website through Yahoo Small Business. The "Web Hosting Starter" plan costs $11.95 per month, and includes 5GB of disk space, and 200GB of bandwidth. I'm not sure what your forum runs on, but it includes PHP and MySQL for scripting/databse support. I'm not saying this is the only way, but I'm sure that there must be other options out there without you breaking the bank. :)

GoDaddy are very good to work with

GoDaddy is all the go in my opinion.

They are very good to work with and Bob Parsons is a legend.

Deluxe Plan:
• 50 GB Space • 500 GB Transfer
• 1000 Email Accounts • FREE! Software
• 25 MySQL Databases • Unlimited Email Forwards
• Forums, Blogging, Photo Galleries • No ads
• FREE! $25 Google AdWords™ Credit

24 month cotract:- Just $5.59/mo SAVE 20% :D

 A word of warning.
Sub Domains info can be slightly confusing at GoDaddy
Sub Domains in most cases is found in your
> Hosting & Servers
> My Hosting Account
> Hosting Account
> Control Panel
> Open

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I didn't think that my current hosting was that expensive, but I must say the amount of bandwidth you mention for that price sounds very good :).

If the bandwidth keeps growing, I will certainly look around and try to find the best way to host this site. It is grown quite a bit since I started it a few years ago :).

FYI, the forum indeed uses MySQL and PHP.

Arno, you might want to take a look here as well:

Fair price, and as far as I have been able to find out (and experience) it is running quite OK. Main limitation is the size of the web page.
