• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Weird error message

This just showed up today when I compile my airport. It comes up with an error saying "some of the ground poly vertices bounded as follows cannot be triangulated" and gives me a list of coordinates. I click ok and the airport compiles, but I have never gotten this error before. I haven't made any changes to the airport except for moving a couple of objects around. I didn't change any of the polys or anything. Why did this error just now show up and could it be the cause of my FPS getting stuttering, it never did that before either. How can I fix this error?

Hi Tom:

You may wish to take note of the query string used on Google to return these Search results:

If you have created / placed a Ground Polygon (aka "G-Poly" / "GP") in ADE, but are unable to resolve this error, since Don has made an early departure (RIP) and cannot reply here, you could try to import the G-Poly BGL into Arno's MCX via the "Ground Polygon Wizard" feature to configure, place, and compile it instead of via ADE-GP.

MCX has detailed control over all aspects of G-Poly creation for FSX legacy SCASM / ASM VTP-layer type G-Polys.

Why is this showing up now? It's been working fine until today. Didn't do anything but move a couple of objects.
