• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

It does not make much sense to me either - are these objects or some other fault in the surface?

Default scenery ok
When UT AK_CN installed I get that long strip of land.

All I want to do is cover it up with water.

I watch Flying Wild Alaska and I wanted to place a ice runway near the village of Little Diomede .

I know that many simmers have UT AK_CN do they have the same error?

For those things Sbuilder or FsxKml, are the tool to use, you can make waterpolygons or exclude water and in the same way you can add terrain or exlude them, sorry but I can't say what exactly the problem could be, usually are a little complicated issues to fix.
If the airport is relatively near you can try with Ade, adding a waterpolygon, I think this can be the magic tool.

Thanks Bernardo:

That land strip is miles long.
I played with Sbuilder some time ago and didn't have much success.
But Ill will try again.
Thanks
Happy new year!

Hi, I must say I always have had problems with the water, still I not control the issue very well, but I can remember that Ade saved me of such situations, look for the nerarest airport, open and localize the area with "connect to fsx", and add a polygon water, I thing it worked great, don't worry about the miles this could be it's not important anyway it's weird you have that great area without water, it's no common, strange. good luck and happy new year".

Try moving all FS2004 (aka "FS9") Scenery Library 'Area' layers for UT Canada/Alaska to a position ABOVE 'Area' layers for other sceneries which cover that region in FS9. ;)

The UT Canada/Alaska scenery Area layers should then have a higher "top" display priority when the FS9 scenery engine renders that region.

If the anomaly is still seen after implementing the above changes, please let us know back here.

BTW: Although I doubt Allen Kriesman who created the entire FS2004 Ultimate Terrain product line would have overlooked such an anomaly, if other contributory causes for it are found, he would want to address the matter in the thread you started on the official Scenery Solutions support web forum c/o Flight1 at:

Hope this helps ! :)

Ut_cn_ak no joy

I don't know why some people don't like me to say this and Ive said this after
jumping thru hoops following well meaning help.

If you haven't had the same problem you cannot help.
This happens over and over again, sorry but I'm getting tired wasting time.

Now that your all mad at me, Does anyone have the same UT_CN_AK scenery
error at that location? Its a simple question. Never mind...Signing off now:mischievo

That is an understandable comment and we have no problem with you saying it. :)

However if we did not attempt to help the folks who have problems with ADE that we cannot replicate then there would be a lot of issues that did not get solved and a lot of folks left frustrated for the other reason - being ignored ;)

Sometimes it is more about the process of problem solving and also about similar problems helping to solve those we do not understand.

well I know where your words came from, from the frustration :(, anyway here we have a great variety of reactions or behaviours, people who not even thank the good advice to people who want be answered inmediatly or ignore a good advice, etc, etc. anyway I can understand you, can yo believe it ¡ bye
