Hi guys,
My current PC spec is:
FS9 is running pretty nicely at a locked 29fps, only occasionally dipping to 24 or 25 at heavy addon airports (I run ProjectAI, World of AI, and Ultimate GA at 100%% AI traffic).
But - FSX is pretty jerky at the default EGLL with the default B7474 and 20% AI traffic.
Given the above spec, and that I don't really want to get a *brand* new system, what should I upgrade to get a really nice smooth experience with various addons (ActiveSkyX, XGraphics, various Mega Airports, and PMDG and Wilco aircraft).
I'm guessing the processor should be upgraded to an quad extreme? How about the RAM? Would an upgrade really make a difference?
What about running drives as a RAID array to improve read performance? Would that make a noticable difference?
Many thanks!
Martin
