• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Where can I get support for Vogels AGN Merge Tool

Ok,

So there is practically no basic manual for this tool! It's a shame because it's such a great tool in combination with Scenproc.

I need to have a question answered, hoping someone can help me.

I am trying to merge alot of AGN files and when I use the Merge and Join feature, and select all my folders to join, it shows me far less files than what is in the directories.

Does this tool not read duplicate AGN files (i.e same autogen location) or is there a bug?

I am using only group 1 as I figure all folders in that group will be merged, or, do I need to have only one folder in Group 1 and the rest in Group 2?

Or am I supposed to use the "enclosed with" option? Not sure what the difference is between these options.

I really wish there was clear english manual, the software and forum seems to have gone dead in the past few years.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Kelvin

Hi,

Vogel does also visit this forum and before has been active in threads about his tool. So that's probably the best way to get support.

It is hard to find where he might be, is there a thread for his tool somewhere, his forum is in french and that's a problem for me. Google doesn't translate properly :(

Thanks for the info guys. It seems like there is still missing info about the merge tool. Even basic explanation of each function, there is mostly an overview perspective from Vogels forum, nothing solid, and the videos are in French.
