• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Found something here alsoC:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe but the packages one has more data in it

From Steam, the installer files are here:

D:\Programs\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator

and the package is here, where I designated it:

D:\Programs\Microsoft Games\MSFS

Makes Sense Dick :) Have you gotten the SDK now?

You've got FS2020 installed!
I've been downloading now for five hours and I'm at 30% complete...

Better than being stuck at the beginning like I was for an hour and a half

Done ... at last.
SDK? I don't think so, I've just tried a flight.
I need a much better computer before I leave FSX.

I purchased an inexpensive 'iBuyPower' unit at Walmart. Has some fair performance factors, though only i5 chips and only 8 gigs of RAM. I have new RAM arriving soon. But, only $800.00 USD, and it runs 2020 nicely. Someday I'll get my supercomputer, but for now, I can at least run 2020 now. Couldnt before as it wasnt able to run DX12.

What an amazing sim. My goodness...

I just peaked in the folder system (had to find it.. well hidden.. ) Scary amount of files for each plane. Looks like it uses systems similar to other simulators. Nothing legacy here. Totally new tech.

To get used to the new keyboard systems, I suggest the basic flight tutorials. They show you so much.

What an immense amount of work. My goodness... Amazing.
