Hi Everyone!

I am working on a Jodel D112.D, it will be freeware. This model will have a virtual cockpit, and that is where I am running into some problems. I can not find a good image of what the cockpit looks like. I have searched the web and have found some images but they are not very good.

If anyone owns a real Jodel D112.D plane, or has images of the cockpit, and would send me images of the cockpit I would be very thankful. I will give you credits in the model as a resource contributor.

Also if you have any commits good or bad about how the body looks so far please let me know.

I have not applied any textures to the body yet. I have applied simple materials just for rending.

Nice! I guess the smoothing issues are caused by the fact that the fuselage is smooth shaded. At sharp edges, such shading 'artifacts' will occur. You better select the edges that make up the edge of the window, and do Edge Split. In Blender, hit Spacebar, click Search and type in Edge Split. Looks far better then!

Thank you, Zeiten, and Dutcheeseblend for your suggestions. I will fix the smoothing issues.

I appreciate your input very much! Krispy1001

Hi Dutcheeseblen!

I made the seats with more than one object, so that it will be easer for me the uv-unwrap them latter. I basically put them together the same way that you would make a real seat. I just do not have to seam them together using a sowing machine.
All the items in my cockpit are made like that. I like making at easy as possible to texture the objects as possible.

Is that what you mean?

Hi Everyone!

Here are updated pictures of the cockpit with the seats, and main panel textured.

Thanks, Krispy1001

Not a bad start! Keep in mind that AO baking is a possibility which will show off nicely, in particular with these seats (so take care with unwrapping to prevent triangles having a different shading)

Hi Dutcheeseblend!

Thank you, for you input. I will use AO bake when I start fine tuning my textures for FSX. And I only use polies when I making my objects.

I do appreciate any suggestions that you have to make my models better.

Also if you have any input for the video tutorials that I am making. I appreciate that also.

My next video will be released next week. It will be on starting the VC.

Hi Everyone!

I re-made the body for the Jodel D112 because of some smoothing issues I was not happy with. I make the mesh much cleaner this time and I do not have the smoothing issues this time.

Thank you: Capt_X, and Dutcheeseblend for your help.
