• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

X-Plane 11 Public Beta

Theoretically, that's what Outerra could become, but they need a larger team, some stronger internal direction and a badly missed influx of financial backing. So much potential languishing in funding purgatory.
I completely forgot Outerra existed, gotta play around with it again. Don't know if they tried crowdfunding, I think an ambitious kickstarter might raise quite a bit of money and accelerate development. It does have a huge potential.
Eye candy aside, let's talk stuff that actually matters: How's AI and ATC?
Just watched this video, the ATC is quite weird right now:
What I don't agree with is that the runway lights are that visible through clouds:
Noticed that as well, definitely something they need to fix.

I'm not impressed at all. Their ATC is even more broken than FSX/P3D...

Ill be very honest. I sincerely hope X-plane 11 does well. As a small developer I'm exhausted at keeping up with P3D version compatibility. As you know, LM P3D is not meant for amateur use. They develop for their high end customers (MIL contractors), and we get to somewhat reap the benefits. It will soon stop being FSX based. IMO it makes no economic sense to continue to develop on that platform were we are at their mercy, were you have to develop 3 versions of the same scenery for the profit of one or less.

On the other hand, XP has always been there, and it seems like they are taking it to a new level. I will give it a try for sure.
