xtomdl plugin max 9 crash?

Hi again,

Now I am trying to use the XToMdl.exe in Windows XP.
I have placed the tools in this folder:
C:\Plugins
I have make the CMD CompileAircraft in my Desktop with this target:
%windir%\system32\cmd.exe /K C:\Plugins\xtomdl.exe /DICT:C:\Plugins\modeldef.XML /XANIM

And when I run the compileaircraft I get these:
Found dictionary file: C:\Plugins\modeldef.XML
OutputFile:
Output file after modification:
Usage: XToMDL.exe /KEEP /NOGUI /BATCH /NOCRASH /BMP2DDS /XMLSAMPLE /XANIM /DICT:
DictFileName /OUT:OutfileName Filename.X

C:\WINDOWS>

What next?
Is there something wrong?
Thanks in advance

3DSM9 plugin XToMdl.exe crash

I've mentioned this many, many times...

The copy of XToMdl.exe in the 3DSM9 folder is not code-signed by Microsoft, and because of this will not run!

The copy of XToMdl.exe in the 3DSM7 should be used instead. There is absolutely no other difference between them aside from the lack of code-signing.

As proof of this, I "code-signed" the 3DSM9 copy with my company's certificate, and -not surprisingly- it works just fine! :D
As I'm modelling on 3DS Max 9 and I noticed this crash XToMdl problem.
Does this mean I have to make Mdl's on the 3DSM7 folder using its XToMdl, rather than on the 3DSM9 plugin folder?

You can just copy the XtoMDL from the 3DSM7 folder to the 3DSM9 folder. I expect there might be some other different in the gamepack itself, so I would not use the Max7 one in Max9.

I tried that already, the 3DSM7 XtoMDL on the 3DSM9, but it didn't work. As I remember, I think I got a 0kb Mdl file, and some errors I managed to log.
On the other hand my 3DSM9 exported X and XANIM files seem to generate error free Mdl's using the 3DSM7 plugin pack folder...

Actually, all of the .exe files from ..\3DSM7 need to be copy/pasted to the ..\3DSM9 folder, as none of them are Code-Signed...

Thanks.
I made some testing and I found that in order to get the 3DSM9 plugin going, the only following files must be copied from the 3DSM7 plugin folder:

XToMdl.exe
Managed_CrashTree.dll
Managed_Lookup_Keyword.dll

That should be all it takes, but it might depend on the model being worked on, so if in trouble, better go pick up the other dll's from the 3DSM7 plugin folder.
