• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Fsx sp1??

I haven't made my first export for an FSX aircraft but from what I can see, it is going to be a head ache to setup it up right.

You mean SDK SP2? I assume the FSX SP2 won't be affected.

So... Bottom line, there is no FSX SDK SP2, only FSX SP2.

I was right... (takes a deep breath).

There are THREE service packs for the FSX SDK

I have tried to attach them to this message but I have never used the file attachment before.

The 3 files are:
fsx_sdk_sp1a.exe
FSX_SDK_SP2.zip
SDK_SP2_Update.msi

ez answer, just get gold. has all the stuff u need, sdk included.
Flight Simulator X: Gold Edition includes the Deluxe Edition and the Acceleration Expansion Pack in one bundle. In addition to all of the content in the Deluxe Edition, the Acceleration Expansion Pack delivers an all-new online multiplayer race mode, new action-packed missions, more new content, and newly enhanced DX10 graphics. Also included is an important service pack for Flight Simulator X, which improves overall game performance.

I'm fairly certain these are all the versions, in chronological order:

FSX:
RTM - Initial release - Available from DVD.
SP1 - First service pack - Available from web.
Acceleration - Expansion pack (includes SP2) - Available from Acceleration DVD.
SP2 - Second service pack - Available from web.

FSX SDK:
RTM - Initial release - Available from FSX Deluxe DVD.
SP1 - First service pack - Available from web.
SP1a - Fixed version of first service pack (replacement, not incremental update) - Available from web and Acceleration DVD.
Acceleration - Equivalent to SP2, with added Acceleration specific content - Available from Acceleration DVD.
SP2 - Second service pack - Available from web.

Yes, this last list is correct.

So whats the difference between Acceleration SP2 and seperate release of SP2
I always assumed they were the same.
