XMLTOOLS for FSX and P3D updates

Well, that's a bit of a bummer... I wanted to slave fuel flow to a RPM target (increase FF if below target, reduce it if above), but I am afraid I won't get the desired effect if FF can not set in a accurate enough way. I'll test and report anyway.

XMLTOOLS for FSX and P3D updates

Yep, Heretic, I was looking for a way to control the engine RPM, so your suggestions could have been interesting too. Fuel flow has the main advantage of being hidden under FSX's hood, so no noticeable woobling. And it also makes rough running /fuel starvation controlable with one single variable.

XMLTOOLS for FSX and P3D updates

Thanks for the heads-up! Engine fuel flow, here I come!

XMLTOOLS for FSX and P3D updates

My idea was to control engine RPM, but it seems that the only RPM that can be accessed through XMLTools are the propeller's ones. Tom, any chance that engine RPM will be added to the C:SIMVARS? Not requesting anything, just asking so that I don't waste time working on something that just can not...

XMLTOOLS for FSX and P3D updates

Oh boy, I am planning for my BN2 damage mod to use XMLTools in order to hijack the RPM calculations and force a sluggish engine response to throttle inputs on a cold engine. So I am going to check if I experience the same issue. And if so, second Björn's request. :)

FSXA BN-2Islander damage mod - Beta released

Euroastar350 is right, unfortunately I just can not change the instruments location on the 3D panel. I hope the damage mod will be good enough to have you give the British Islander a try!

FSXA BN-2Islander damage mod - Beta released

Hello! Being a huge fan of Flight1's BN-2 Islander, I am developping a Damage Mod for it from Ismail Hakki Güzel's and Didier Lagaffe's versions. The following systems will wear out and will be inflicted damage in case of improper use : - engines - generators - propellers - flaps - flaps motor...

Colombain Cri-Cri - world smallest twin for FSX, P3D and Outerra.

Both external model and VC look good! But you might want to make the canopy glass a little bit more transparent ;) The prototypés livery would be nice!

Colombain Cri-Cri - world smallest twin for FSX, P3D and Outerra.

Nice little plane (to say the least). By the way, the correct name of the manufacturer is Colomban (no i), because he is French, not Sout American!

FSX (Released) M.I.T. - Maintenance and Income Tool

Roger that! I am right in the middle of moving, so the computer is all packed up, and is not going to get out until all plastering and painting is done, what could last a little bit :) I'll be more than happy to test whetever needs to be tested then!

FSX (Released) M.I.T. - Maintenance and Income Tool

Not defeating the whole thing, just adjusting to firefighting. I want to load as much retardant/water as possible, there is no dependency to a customer's requirements. But I do need the funds to pay for the fuel and maintenance, so I'll still try to keep the revenue mode active. Regarding the...

FSX (Released) M.I.T. - Maintenance and Income Tool

Truly impressive piece of work Björn! I´m looking forward to test it with my virtual aerial firefighting company (using FirefighterX)! In that specific situation, the payload demand is always the max payload. So is it possible to delete the Random_payload_scalar and reputation_percent from the...

FSXA Fixing an existing mdl with MCX

Oh boy! A brand new world of opportunities has come out ! So many mods, only limited by my own imagination! Hmm, well, I may be have got a little bit carried away, but my last endeavours are really making me happy: not only I have been able to fix 95% of the Seabee model, but I have modded a few...

FSXA Fixing an existing mdl with MCX

Hello Essex, I didn't know which version I was using, so I have updated to the latest dev version available without any change in the result. Back to basics, so now I am focusing on achieving with the default DHC-2 what I want to fix on the Seabee. - The default Beaver displays the correct...

FSXA Fixing an existing mdl with MCX

The investigation goes on (and on, and on...) : I successfully compiled the unaltered files with XtoMDLUI (Thank you Essex). Tests in FSX show the same glitches as with the MCX MDL : wrong tooltips and missing mouserects. In order to test the tools, I compiled the files from the default Beaver...

FSXA Fixing an existing mdl with MCX

Quick update : I have just tried to follow Essex's proposal WITHOUT changing anything the .x, .xml or .xanim files. But testing in FSX shows that tooltips are all mixed-up, and some switchs have lost their mouserects underway... So I must have something wrong with the way my MCX/FSX is configured.
