Hey guys,

Very quick question, does the above work ok? It's my understanding that the FSX Max scripts/export tools were made for Max 9 x32 (so don't work properly with x64).

I know that having both x64 and x32 Max 9 installs works in Vista, is that still the case with Win 7?

Also can the FSX tools be made to work with future versions of Max?

Sorry if I missed the answer eleswhere on the forums, found similar Q's but not this exact one.

Cheers.

when a 64 win7, runs a 32 app it reverts to 32 bit emulation mode...to do justice to a 64 o/s you need 64 bit apps....the memory thing is a markering ploy.so any 32 bit app should run fine on 64 win7....

Thanks for the replies guys. Glad to hear the good news.

'Also can the FSX tools be made to work with future versions of Max?' - I actually meant 'more recent/current versions.'

'Felix here is 'possibly' working on a version that will work with Max 2010'. Excellent, fingers crossed. Thanks for the update.

Finally, does anyone have the FSX tools working fine with Max 9 x64?

Cheers again, really appreciate the info.

Just to check again, it's not possible to get the FSX tools working with 3dsmax v9 x64 right?

If you want to use the 64-bit version you'll need to have the 32-bit version also where the FSX tools will be installed to, correct?

Cheers.

No, it's not possible.

Err...no, you just get the 32bit version and "install" (just a matter of linking actually) the tools to that one.
