• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Aerofly 2 Released; Beta; Steam Games

I had done some quick calculations based on Steamspy data.

Seems that while Flightschool has sold many more units than Aerofly FS 2, the relative price difference means that Aerofly is likely to have been the more profitable sim, especially considering the huge size difference between the two companies.

Now there's been a huge Aerofly sales surge due to VR implementation, and a lot of coverage of the sim in VR circles.

I wonder if the final history between these two (Currently) entry level offerings will be that while the community was locked on Flight School, Aerofly was quietly running away with the ball......!

Nice video...not mention about the captain approaching the runway too high...ha ha.
I was wondering if the jetway move also.

Nope, jetways are static, but to me, that just looks like an opportunity for an enterprising third party! :scratchch

if I tried this I would hit every single pylon

At least you'd get near enough to actually hit the pylons. I'd probably miss them by a mile :D

BTW. Did you see this AF2 video by the same guy? .....
Notice how he says: "We improved the physics and the setup of the (Extra 330 LX) airplane".
Mod perhaps?
.
Some pretty nice manoeuvres in this one btw....
.

These videos make me think that this could be the sim I'm searching for! (Although I'll wait for the DTG Flight Simulator to hear how that one performes.)

I'm glad you enjoyed those vids.

I think Aerofly might be onto something with this sim. Just look at it !
.

As the guy who made this video said:
"I deleted FSX,P3D and all the rest of it. and i think, i found a sim that suits me.
I love flying both, IFR and VFR, and this sim allows both in such a framerate friendly and great looking environment".
.

Looks very nice indeed, buttery smooth, I wonder what the specs are on the computer.
How many gigabytes is this sim up to now? Maybe that's why the guy deleted FSX and P3D, to make room! :rotfl:

Just kidding!
Again, it looks amazing.

Cheers
Gman

On the Aerofly forum a stunt pilot has asked the developers to recreate a real life course for him so he can practice.

I did some touch and goes in the A320 last night. Love the outside camera views, like rudder view, wingtip view, and the engine view, showing that jet fan running. Awesome... Loving this sim.

Such amazing terrain. Beautiful work... I didnt know the Dam and bridge were on this. I'll have to check that out.
