• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Aerofly 2 Released; Beta; Steam Games

His runs much better then mine. Mine has a lot of stutters over SanFran. Nice....... Is that cool or what?

Yeah, I've seen a lot of videos, and many of them made me frown and frown, and frown again. I was seeing a lot of stuttering when I was easily getting between 200 to 300FPS and above.

So I wanted to do a vid that showed what Aerofly looked like to me. If you look at the video in full screen and look at the lower left corner, you can see the FPS.

Ever since the release of this title, its always been a near thing in my mind whether this title would gain some traction within the community, or whether we only had eyes for Microsoft based products. Its been like watching one of those balance rocks in a roadrunner cartoon, teetering......

Now there is an accelerating ripple of awareness about the product, and it will be interesting to see what proceeds from that.

It is looking better and better all of the time.
Just curious what the size of the program is at this point?

99.5 GB (106,884,198,400 bytes) :yikes:

Fascinating.... and that's just including California, Arizona, Nevada, and Switzerland.
Well with the lower prices of hard drive space these days, size is not a deal-breaker.
Heck, my current FSX Blue Sky Photoreal folders for just California, Arizona and Nevada are weighing in at 93 GB. :yikes:

edit: From what I have seen so far, Aerofly 2 would do well to add Utah.

Thanks for the update. :)

Cheers

Is this the Rob Ainscough flying AFS2?
Check this out. Holy Moly! ...

PS: (3:08 onwards is great)

.

I've just been viewing that on a 30" Dell 3011. I like...

Absolutely beautiful.

It looks so real.

Looks like I may need a couple of M.2 drives soon...when is it going to end ?

(I think this is a cunning plan by the hardware manufacturers....):stirthepo

Aerofly FS 2 Beta Update Version 2.0.1EA3.32

Dear Aerofly users,

We just published a small update to Aerofly that should result in a higher frame rate and might improve your experience when using VR. As this version might not be stable, we have only publish it in our Beta channel. Here is whats new:

As usual, we strongly recommend to update your 3D driver before trying this update as we are using a few new OpenGL features that require up to date drivers.

As some VR users reported, they experience a better image quality when rendering with a higher pixel density. With this update you may know set this directly from within Aerofly FS 2. Keep in mind however that increasing the pixel density ( we can this factor the Render Scale Factor in Aerofly ), has a strong impact on the performance. Please only use it if you have a Geforce 1070 GTX or faster.

  • Improved Rendering speed of up to 25% compared to the last update with version 2.0.1 EA3.30
  • Added new VR option that allows you to set the pixel density. Please use this option with care, it has a strong impact on the performance.
  • Fixed camera rotation resulted in oddly looking clouds especially while using VR
  • Improved Longer flight recording of 10 minutes

Please report back any issues you encounter with this update.

I still cant get over the details in this sim. Check that tarmac out... Check out the building details.

Seriously, guys? Photoreal buildings and a tarmac with a bump mapped texture no better than third party MSFS stuff counts as impressive nowadays?
