• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Bell 407 V2.0

Good morning friends

My insomnia leaded me to this...

Not even close to the real thing, but I did my best. The work on the spot light is not what I want...

Don't you love when you just "finished" a part and suddenly you find all references strongly needed at the begining? Always by accident, of course...

Be careful if your modeling workload is extensive. That's how I woke up this morning...
Great! Does your Bell v407 package comes with a Minion powered groundcrew? Bbananaaaah!

Yes, thsi happened to me too on the YF16 project Sergio. First you surf around the entire Internet. Then give you and start modeling "freely" and slowly advance towards a completed part.
And then.. and only then... you are magically rewarded by finding the complete and accurate specs to part you where modeling.. to finetune it..

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:, that's right. I suppose now is fully tuned (the power cord isn't in the right place... yet):

Cheers!

That's a very nicely modeled and decorated light, and the label is so finely detailed too! It's a pity that no one will ever even notice that label since it will be on the top of the light where no amount of effort will allow anyone to read it... :duck:

Ahh, you are right (as always) and I like as well how that hand painted decal looks. Perhaps, one good thing can save the day: it has two swivels.
Since it is now textured, perhaps the pilot "accidentally" might tilt it in a whimsical angle. ;)

Thank you for the kind words and for being watching the thread as well.
Kindest regards,
Sergio.
:)

Good afternoon

This time, I've been trying to model the rotor brake. I am not very happy with this stuff; I barely can see the overall shape:

Also, I don't know if the cylinder modeled there is the fulcrum for the lever:

Let's see if I can get it right...:(

Good evening

Hey Sergio how's work on the 407
Darren, I've been procrastinating because I stall out of ideas on how to map and repaint some parts. Albeit I can prepare a decent "pain" kit, I can't tell you why I am unable to be consistent with the quality in the painting work itself.

I will dust off myself and ask for a kick in the but in order to get back to work :D

Ignore previous post but Google Alpine helicopters for the bell 407 they have...would be a great paint when you get back I the swing of things..
