• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Bell 407 V2.0

Greg:
Thank you, very much appreciated.

George:
Bro, before the "incident" I had those images and the video as well; thank you very much! I didn't remember until I saw them again.
I think we have what is needed. The video provides the right spot I was looking for. :)

Good day lads!

I haven't been lazy with the 407, I've been working in the gauge and sound departments; some little samples:

A power line failure damaged my layered PSD Radioaltimer. Just after I finished it!!!

I found this and helped me to recover the images... not my saved paths though:

This tool gathers your damaged PDS file and try to gather all layers individually and save them as .png files. At least I can work trough this to rebulit the PSD file.
First, stolen house; now...this. I don't believe in karma, however this is ridiculous.

I will tempt my luck and also I am very sorry for this... however, Shit happens to me more than I like.

Another solution and your best bet is to save your work on an online cloud such as dropbox. Some members here use it to backup their work, etc.

I know brother, in the heat of the moment I was working without stop and that's why I didn't upload the files anywhere... Just it was a lousy bad timing for this.
On the bright side, I have it partially working within the simulator!

Now to ease the workload, another change of pace; this time some work on the float system:

I had an idea on how to break the overall symmetry simulating those canvas casings; let's see how well it ends...

Those gauges, nay, this whole project, is looking amazing. Can't wait till it's available to us!

Just one note, I won't own a PC without an UPS for it. In my mind, they are critical. Suddenly loosing power to a PC, or worse, a surge or brown-out, can trash a PC fast. Not just the data, the actual components. CPU, RAM, you name it.
Laptops are safe, they have a sort-of UPS built in. The battery covers it for low-voltage situations, but surges, like a lightning strike, can still cause problems. A cheap, simple surge-arrester for the laptop will fix that little problem.

Anyway, looking forward to this chopper! Thanks for all the hard work.
Pat☺

Hello!

New gauges...

First, the Davtron M803.
1.- Reference image (photoreal):

2.- Photoshop layout:

So far, it shows:
- O.A.T in °C, O.A.T in °F and Voltage.
- Zulu and Local Time.

However, I am strugling to implement the "Flight Time" and "Elapsed Time" features :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Today, I began the Turn indicator from scratch and also, it is fully functional within the simulator:

Despite following the same workflow used in the first gauge set, I've spend the whole afternoon testing several combinations of alpha channel colors, varying mask opacity values and the final result doesn't look that good inside the cockpit... :ziplip:

Goodbye to my carefully crafted shadows and highlights. I really don't like those ugly black areas. :tongue-ti

Bjoern, Thank you. I tried to use the content in the wiki about timers but I couldn't figure it out how it works; I'll follow the tutorial.
