• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Chevrolet Suburban - Released

This is awesome...I'm just imagining the crazy stuff that could be done with it: Start with a shiny new Suburban sitting outside the Bing Maps version of a major CEO's multi-million-dollar home (playing as a chauffeur avatar of course) jump in and hit the road, fighting traffic all the way to your local executive/class D airport. Then pull up to an unmanned security gate and drive straight through it because 1) you've probably disabled object collisions to drive this thing without any surprises and 2) your big shot CEO passenger is late for his golf tournament with another big shot CEO. So you scream up to a Citation on the ramp without an escort vehicle and help the crew load 8 golf bags, 3 suitcases and $30,000 worth of liquor while your passenger stands there and watches. Then when that fiasco is over, shape shift into a pilot avatar and fly a short ~100 mile route that takes less time than the drive to the airport. o_O

Hi!

It's time for a little information update :)

We have now brought many more features in the Chevrolet. While Rob and Manfred worked on the development of the vehicle with very good ideas and the associated code, I concentrated on implementing their ideas, putting the supplied code in the form of Lvars in the Chevy and, incidentally, had new animations for the virtual cockpit created. Manfred then used his knowledge to make the virtual cockpit "alive". Rob has continued to work on the driving dynamics and refined them further. The sounds for the doors, windscreen wipers, bonnet, horn etc were also implemented by Rob in the Chevy.

Gimmick: An animated fragrant tree. Hm, delicious apple fragrance :)

A very nice design. I assume that in the release the main instruments are not angular, but nice round. Otherwise great:coffee:

Hello dear interested!

The P3Dv4 version is now ready and we are now going to create an FSX version of the Chevrolet. If everything goes according to schedule, the FSX version will be ready in the next few days and both versions can be released together :)

In the last few days in particular, we have made numerous changes and, above all, improvements. And there is also another paint job: blue metallic. Recently we also worked on a switchable number plate and a switchable display for km/h and MP/h:

2_p3dv4_chevrolet_final.jpg

Virtual cockpit with displays for speed, engine temperature, fuel, oil pressure and battery level. In addition, countless functions, animations and clickspots

The new blue metallic paint

3_p3dv4_chevrolet_final.jpg

Switchable number plates for USA and Germany

What was last changed
- Changed code for accuracy of KMH display
- Plexiglass cover for cockpit displays
- Steering wheel adapted for internal model
- Fixed animation of pedals
- Optimization: Internal model polygons reduced from 168222 polys to 141884 polys
- New metallic blue paint
- Lag value for RPM (70) and MPH (30) changed
- RPM and KMH display switchable
- Switchable number plate
- Sharper textures for MPH/KMH and RPM display
- Mapping error corrected (driver seat speaker)
- Small Cockpit Displays with Function (Code from Manfred)
- When Hoover over the needles tool tips are displayed
- License plate revised (is now white, not gray anymore)
- Texture of engine cooling changed (mean value was at 250, now stands at 210)
- new FDE
- Fuel Gauge Code
- new sound implementation for doors, tailgate, wipers etc
- animated scented tree
- revised textures for cockpit displays (Fuel, Volt, Battery, Oil)
- Animated 3-D needles for small cockpit displays (still without function)
- corrected minor mapping errors
- Virtual cockpit with working speed indicator and a working tachometer
- Windscreen wiper for rear window
- Fragrance tree (not finished yet)
- Sylt sticker on the tailgate

What still needs to be done
- FSX Version
- Documentation
- Optimizing the folder and file structure

What about French plates? :p
I can't wait to do some roadtrips :)

Btw, how is the paintkit? if you can show, it would be amazing :)
Hi :)
A paint kit?

Here you go:
chevrolet_suburban_paint.jpg

The paint kit consists of a single colored texture, so everyone can choose their own car color ;):)

Nice, its Easy for everyone :), a bit complicated (impossibel) for what I initally wanted to do lol
I assume you wanted a Follow Me livery :)

But there is also good news. The FSX version is currently derived from the P33Dv4 version, there are very few limitations. For example, everything based on P3Dv4 material scripting does not work in FSX. You would have to try other techniques.

Anyway ...

... the FSX version is already impressive:

Does the Wunderbaum wiggle when you drive?

A very good question :)

It was actually a question that had bothered us. Maybe it comes with an update. But for now we are closing the bag, because tomorrow the Chevrolet should be released. both versions: FSX and P3Dv4.5 PBR
I put the "Dynamic Fragrance Tree" on the wish list. Until then, an ambient animation of the fragrance tree must remain ;-)
