• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello designers!

Want to show you a project i've been working on for some time now, the dash 8 100/300

still lot of work to do, the model needs to be mapped, animated, model the interior, create fde.. etc.etc.. same thing with the 300 model,

Looks great, will you consider an FS9 model as well or is this FSX only, would be awesome to have a new Dash 8 model for FS9, especially a nice freeware -300 since that's the one model missing:)

I see i havent been active here for a long time now, so its time to blow some dust of this thread.
About thee years ago my external hard drive with all my design files got broken, (lost it on the floor...:banghead:) and i was trying many different hd recovery firms. and no one was able to recover my files. i had a ton of dash 8 documents,photos and of course all my source files. and it would take years to gather all of those documents. So i just gave up my fs design hobby.

And then! for some months ago i was drinking beer with a friend, out of no were he start asking about my dash 8 project, how the project was going. I told him everything was lost. Then he told me to bring my hard drive over to him the next day! he had some special software, and he was able to recover all my files!! Yess!! :D

So now the project is slowly going back on track, i have done some work on the nose section, and i also started work with the VC.
I will post an update when i done some more work on the vc.
 
sounds great! Congrats on the recovering...

Hopefully you'll be able to convert the Aircraft you've been working on, into FS9 as well, after it's done for FSX... that 'll be nice!

Yes, but later, but if some are interested, feel free to send me a pm. But it is a bit early for testing now, still have some work left to do, and i also need to buy a new pc to get fsx up and running again.

Small update.
I made a new and smoother nose. but i have most of the parts done. Still i have some work left to, texture mapping, animations ect,
 
Good to see some WIP with FSDS, we seldom see it in use 'round here nowadays (Anthony excepted!)
