• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Dash 8 100/300

You got Adam Murphy on board?! WOW. That guy is one of the best when it comes to making soundpacks. In my opinion he's even beaten the likes of TSS when it comes to making sounds. I'm really happy to hear that you got him on this project and finally finishing his long awaited dash 8 soundpack :) Great job Moken!
Yes i do! You're absolutely right! he is incredibly good. :D

First test with the Dash 8 Q300 in fsx, (had to borrow main landing gear from babydash..)

He's one of the best in that field. The sound environment is going to be great!

By the way: Who's doing the systems?
I agree with you on that! :)

No one at the moment, I might have to learn how to make the systems myself.

Well, it's the best way. With enough L:var driven knobs and switches, I might be able to help out here and there.

Yes, tha's true! i have to learn it some time anyway. But i would appreciate some help, i can give you a notice when i come so far. ;)

I have started to make the engine gear well interior. And I wondered, how much details should be there? Is it common nowadays for simmers to do a walkaround and check the landing gears etc before jumping into the cockpit ?
Can you guys give me a thought what you think?

Do the most important stuff with not too many polygons and you should be good to go.

I flew the DHC-8-100/300/400...Have about 1800 hours total between the three models. Let me know what I can do to be of any assistance to you...I have quite a bit of documentation on all three aircraft.

That sounds very interesting! :D

Progress lately has been slow. My laptop have crashed and reached retirement.
9 years old. Rip (GPU or CPU breakdown)
I have recovered all my files and a new pc will arrive very soon. :)
At least i was able to finish the
Main gear well/bay before it died ;)

Haha :D ! Thank you very much for your consideration and condolences. The laptop has now been buried at the bottom of the tray with old stuff and will be its resting place until my wife starts complaining and I have to throw it away!

New desktop pc up and running. I have started working on the project again, but now i'm converting over the project to 3ds max.
A little sad to leave fsds, but i think the program goes so slow when the model begins to grow in size. even with new pc.

(3ds modeller/s wantet! )

First look in 3ds

I don't know if 3ds Max still comes with the P-38 tutorial (version 9 back in the day did), but if it does, it's highly recommended to get to grips with the interface and the way of doing things.

Same for any tutorial covering animations.
